2026 Ohio CB Emoni Smith commits to Purdue
Purdue has added a cornerback to its 2026 recruiting class, getting a commitment today from one-time Louisville pledge Emoni Smith. He was on an official visit to Purdue this weekend.
The 6-1, 185-pound Smith, who plays at Westland High in Galloway, Ohio, committed to the Cardinals in January. Smith also had offers from Illinois, Michigan State, West Virginia and others prior to committing to the Cardinals.

Smith is a two-way player at Westland, primarily a strong safety on defense where he logged 90 tackles, nine for loss, six sacks, six pass break ups and an interception in 2024. On offense, Smith had 1,268 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns as primarily a receiver.
Smith is Purdue’s 10th pledge in the Class of 2026, joining Chicago Marist OL Rico Schrieber, Grand Rapids (Mich.) Catholic Central LB Brayden Sweeney, Ontario (Calif.)
